Family Tree; Mixed Media on Canvas; 2026; 40 x 30 inches; 102 x 78 centimeters
In a world that moves faster than ever, it has become easy to drift apart — to close ourselves off and convince ourselves we are fine on our own. But deep down, we all know the truth: human beings are not meant to be alone. We need warmth. We need connection. We need the people we love.
Family Tree is a meditation on that universal longing. Through bold, gestural strokes and a striking palette of electric blue, deep charcoal, and raw organic tones, this large-scale mixed media work captures the essence of roots — both literal and emotional. The tree, rendered in an unconventional abstract language, reaches, twists, and intertwines, much like the bonds that hold families and chosen families together.
Neon yellow flickers like laughter at a kitchen table. Soft pinks and mauves evoke tenderness and vulnerability. Dark, sweeping forms remind us that strength is built through togetherness, not isolation.
This is a painting about belonging. About the courage it takes to stay connected. About choosing love over distance.
If you like this idea, I would be delighted if *you* were the one to purchase this painting!
