Witch’s Cat

Witch’s Cat; Acrylic on canvas, Halloween 2026; 20 × 16 inches

Some companions seem to know more than they reveal. Seated between moonlight and candlelight, this black cat meets your gaze with a quiet confidence, as though the room, and all its secrets, already belong to him.

Silvery strokes bring the dark fur to life against a cool blue night, while warm gold and the curling lines of a candelabrum lend the scene an intimate, theatrical glow. The contrast gives this acrylic painting its distinctive mood: a little mysterious, a little mischievous, and unexpectedly companionable.

Imagine it beside a favorite reading chair or in a study, catching your eye at the end of the day. Its Halloween spirit is unmistakable, yet its real appeal lasts beyond the season: the independent presence of a cat who asks for nothing and commands attention anyway.

For a collector drawn to feline character, moonlit interiors, and art with a touch of the uncanny, Witch’s Cat offers a presence rather than simply a decoration. A small encounter with mystery, made part of everyday life.
